Who said a chocolate bar doesn’t go great first thing in the morning? Mānoa’s Breakfast Bar is sprinkled with a layer of roasted cacao nibs and Hawaiian grown Kona coffee. The addition of nibs on the back of the bar add a crunch to compliment the creamy mouth feel of their dark milk chocolate.
Coffee plantations first emerged in Hawaii in the mid 1800’s. From then the crop has thrived, with over 8,200 acres planted across the state. Here in Hawaii, more farms now grow coffee than any other crop, and we are proud to be able to source locally grown coffee for this bar. The infusion of Hawaiian coffee (kope) into creamy dark milk chocolate and a sprinkling of crunchy cacao nibs make this the ideal chocolate breakfast bar.

Mānoa is the first chocolate offered by The High Five Company to be made in America with cacao grown in America (Hawaii, to be exact). Manoa’s Hawaii bar is made from crazy-expensive cacao, which is why you don’t see it in heavy rotation in the craft chocolate scene. Overtones of floral honey are balanced with hints of raisin and espresso, making for a lush, exotic chocolate experience. Don’t miss their line up of Hawaiian inclusion bars, such as their famous Breakfast Bar - a dark milk bar sprinkled with a layer of roasted cacao nibs and Kona coffee.
About Mānoa
- Environmentally conscious bean-to-bar chocolate maker based in Kailua, Hawaii.
- Founded in 2010 by Dylan Butterbaugh. The original operation was entirely pedal-powered!
- Commitment to transforming Hawaiian agricultural practices to focus on endemic reforestation.
- Trade directly with small-scale farmers, cutting out the middlemen and paying well above market rates for cacao.
- Beautiful wrappers and moulds that represent Hawaiian culture. The boxes are made from recycled paper and the inner wrapper is made from biodegradable plant-based fibre.
- One of only a handful of companies making chocolate in Hawaii from locally grown cacao.

Product types and lead time
We work with a tiered lead-time structure and the lead-time depends on the type of product. We distinguish three types of products in our range;

Orderring Stock products and Special Order Products
It is not possible to combine stock products and special order products in one order. You have to place separate orders. In case you place two orders and want them shipped together we charge the shipping fee only one time (if the total is under the free shipping order value).
It will remain possible to combine orders for stock products and Zotter's hand-scooped.
Ordering
- We have no minimum order for EU customers.
- Minimum order for non-EU customers is €500,-
- Ordering goes by case quantity. If there's less stock than the case quantity the system won't allow you to add it to the cart. We can add this for you to your order manually. Just leave a note in the comments or contact us otherwise.
- You can order via the normal product or brand pages in the webshop or via the Quick Order Form.
- In My Quick Order you will find items you have previously ordered - even more convenient for repeat purchases!
- Both the Recommended Retail Price (excl. VAT) as well the wholesale price (excl. VAT) is indicated for each product.
Shipping
We ship by DHL or PostNL. These usually deliver within 24 hours (within Holland and Belgium). For other countries the lead-time is about 2-3 days. After your order is processed and ready to ship you will receive a notification by email, detailing the scheduled delivery date and a Track & Trace code.

We charge a fixed fee for shipping (figures exclude VAT):

Hawaiian cacao farms have grown and improved over the years and we can't wait for you to taste the unique flavors in each bar. Hawaii is the only state in the United States with a climate appropriate for cultivating the cacao tree. With a focus on cacao genetics, fermentation, and drying. Hawaii is now recognized internationally as producing some of the best cacao in the world. Additionally, Hawaiian cacao farms are still scarce, making Hawaiian beans some of the most expensive and exclusive.
