Hogarth Gran Blanco, Peru 66%, Dark

Criollo cacao is the rarest of the three main varieties (Forestero, Trinitario & Criollo). Due to its susceptibility to disease it is not widely cultivated. The beans are light in colour and highly sought after for their delicate fruit and nut flavours.

Norandino Cooperative is an association of small producers that contributes to improving the quality of life of its members, contributes to local socio-economic development, and participates in specialty markets with high quality, and value-added products, preserving the environment, promoting the benefits of group behaviour and gender equity. Norandino works with 7000 cocoa, coffee and sugar cane producers from the Piuran mountains in the northeast of Peru.

Made from Organic and Fair Trade cacao, this chocolate exhibits fruit (apricot & raisin) notes and honey/caramel sweetness. A perfect pairing for sweet dessert wine.

Authentic single origin chocolate handcrafted in Nelson, New Zealand from bean to bar.

Hogarth Craft Chocolate is born out of a passion for chocolate, craftsmanship and art.

Hogarth is a boutique, bean-to-bar chocolate manufacturer based in Nelson, New Zealand. They import cocoa beans from the best growing regions of the world, buying Organic and Fair Trade certified when possible. And make a range of single origin and flavoured chocolate bars and spread. Local ingredients are chosen whenever possible, this allows to get the freshest and tastiest flavour when matching it to the cocoa’s own flavour profile. Hogarth's process uses traditional techniques, hand sorting of the beans, gentle roasting in the shell, winnowing, stone grinding for up to four days, ageing the finished chocolate for a minimum of one month, hand molding and hand wrapping in our beautiful wrappers. Hogarth believe the extra effort they put into producing their products is reflected in the quality and appreciation of our customers.
