Colombia · Tumaco MICROLOT (70% dark)

Cocoa Explorers – Limited Edition: limited availability of 900 bars.

Round dark chocolate with notes of chocolate ganache, almond & apple.

The Tumaco region has a vibrant mix of local cacao genetics, where producer associations are actively working to understand and propagate the unique genetics found throughout the forests around their communities. The beans used in this bar originate from four associations: Afromuvaras, Asprocat, Cortepaz and Corpoteva. Perfectly blended for flavour by Cacao Hunters in Colombia.

All of Fjåk’s single-origin bars are made with just cocoa beans, sugar and cocoa butter. And are free of soy, dairy, eggs, and gluten. No added lecithin, or vanilla.

  • Made in Norway, Fjåk Chocolate combines fine cacao from all over the world with traditional Nordic ingredients and flavors.
  • The chocolate maker behind the brand is a skilled woman, Agur, who officially launched Fjåk Chocolate in 2017 after two years of learning how to source specialty cacao from small producers and experimenting with different chocolate making techniques.
  • Fjåk is the first bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Norway.
  • Their popularity has grown internationally in the past years, thanks to their unique inclusion bars and multiple international awards. Among their most appreciated bars we find the 45% Milk & Brown Cheese, the White Lingonberry and the 68% Dark India bars.

  • The Norwegian word “Fjåk” roughly translates to “loveable” and “honest”.
  • The peculiar ingredients included in Fjåk Chocolate like cheese, mushrooms, licorice and lingonberry are unique and make these bars stand out among other craft chocolate brands. But chocolate makers Agur and Siv never stop experimenting, and many exciting new bars are released every year.
  • The Fjåk bars make for a bean-to-bar brand that is captivating both on the inside, with fine cacao and unique flavors, and on the outside, with a simple yet stylish packaging and visually pleasing inclusions when you open the bars.
  • The combination of never-seen-before flavors and high chocolate making skills is the winning card of this internationally praised brand.

Warm Weather Shipping

We continue shipping throughout the summer!

If the temperature reaches 24ºC, we ship all orders in special insulation packaging with ice-gel-packs. These survive temperatures up to 35 degrees for about 3 days. At no extra cost!

  • Before shipping we check the weather forecast at our location, the destination, and locations along the route (if known).
  • We make sure that the parcels are collected by the carrier as late as possible in the afternoon.
  • In case of warm weather we ship out from Monday-Wednesday depending on the expected transit time. And in order to exclude risk of parcels being stored in a carrier's warehouse over the weekend.

EcoCoolBox: an environmentally friendly insulated packaging

The EcoCoolBox which we use for insulated shipping is a unique, completely paper-based and environmentally friendly insulated packaging with an equal or even better insulation performance than EPS (tempex / styrofoam) based solutions. The liners of the boxes are made of fine paper fibres. These fibres have outstanding isulation characteristics, comply to European directives for contact with food products, are 100% recycable, and are made of clean recycled cardboard.
